can anyone tell me how an image in alcohol is made for this game .
it has 3 cds and when i try to make an image for the last one which is assume its the play cd when i load the image in daemon it says invalid image what am i doing wrong? |
The first disk is the play disk;)
I bet that’s where you are going wrong. |
next step
i have managed to make an image then disabled secondary IDE channel as i read in some other threads and when i start the game threre is an error message after the checking disc " insert the disc in an other drive and try again"
any ideas? |
OK, you got the right disc lol.
When you write “disabled” are you pulling the power cables and IDE cables out of your CD-DVD drives while your PC is turned off (safety first)? I also had to run SFNightmare and “disable node” function. |

No do i have to remove the cd and dvd drives? (i have two)
Just to make a backup? i dont think it is worth the trouble |
And if that dont work:rolleyes:
Uninstall the game and when it prompts you to remove the StarForce driver, click yes. Mount the image and install the game, don’t run the game just yet. Open up "StarForce AntiFile System Blocker" and install the "driver". Shutdown PC and remove all cables from your CD-DVD roms. Start PC and run SFNightmare and "disable node" then exit. Run "StarForce AntiFile System Blocker" again and press start. Play, if you’re lucky:p P.S. don’t forget to "enable node" when finished, otherwise you can’t see your virtual drives. |
Not to make a back up, but to run the backup!
You’re very right!!! Extreme to have to remove all the drives for sure. Just take it easy on your original disk and hey, then there is no need to back it up;) |
I'm using the Nforce4 chipset using the official nvidia drivers, using my image wasn't to much hassle. I disabled the nvidia parallel ATA device in device manager, this disables all your dvd/cd drives and then used sd4hide to hide Daemon 4 virtual drive and the game worked fine with my backup image. You will need to enable all emulation options in Daemon 4.

Funny, for myself to run the game I had to physically remove the drives. But yeah definitely try that because different hardware or software will give you alternate results.;)
