Problem with Crime Life :(

Hey all

I've downloaded the NO DVD/Fixed Image from gamecopyworld, mounted the image file using daemon tools (setting up a virtual drive too) and made sure all of the emulation options are on. I've also set the crimelife.exe to Windows 2000 compatability.

I've then downloaded SR7.Stop and hidden the virtual drive (closing SR7.Stop after) but when I try to run the game I still get the Original Disc error  I've checked the NFO file and pretty much followed the instructions step-by-step.. so either there's a problem somewhere or I'm just being stupid.

Could anyone point me in the right direction as to where I'm going wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks!

try using antiblah http://cdmediaworld.com/hardware/cdr...tml#Anti-Blaxx...
worked for me

TehGecko 26-11-2005 10:10

Hmm, I've just tried anti-blaxx and set everything up.. but I'm getting this error when I try to run the game.

"A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed"

Any ideas?

DABhand 26-11-2005 10:43

That means the protection has detected a program like antiblaxx, sr7stop etc running in the background.

Have A fix For You all!

I have a Fix for this problem.

1. Follow all instructions in the mini image nfo 2. run the antiblah bat files that is proper for your language 3. set the compatibality of crimelife.exe to windows 2000 4. run SR7 stop hide virtual drives then close the program it cannot be running while the game is running 5. Right click on my computer on the desktop or in the start menu then go to properties then click the device manager tap highlight DVD/CD-ROM Drives Expand the icon (Click ON the little + sign) right click on and cd/dvd rom drives you may have in your computer click disable then click yes (Make sure you dont disable any virtual drives only disable Real drives)
close the device manager 6. mount with daemon tools 4.00 with all emulation options on play the game. Have fun all!!!!

P.S. to reenable dvd/cd-roms just go back to the device manager and go back to DVD/CD-ROM DRIVES and enable

game works!!!

hey im new here and just joined this forum because it looks interesting and i saw that people were having problems with crimelife;) the best program by far to use for virtual drives is alcohol im using the corporate addition 1.9.5!!! after you have done that make a virtual drive read the prompts carfully to add your drive!! then once you are done look at options in alcohol for your virtual drive and there will be an option for securom, enable it!!! then before you put the image in use the sr7stop file to hide it!! note: when you hide it it will say hidden @ and if it worked it will show your virtual drive in there after its says: hidden @ ... then put your game image in there and your done!! have fun guys!!!!!
