SniperElite: No-CD doesn'twork :-(
 

I launch the program, and it just crashes without ever reaching the title screen. The game runs fine with the DVD in the drive. I am running Windows XP with SP2. I tried the original one, and then just for kicks, I tried the one that is supposedly runs on Windows 2K/Me, and it crashes too. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone else getthis game to run with the no-DVD exe? :( :confused:

The no dvd exe works fine for me :) What and where did you get your no-dvd? Did you try to redownload that file in case the first time the file was corupt? Does your pc meet the minimun requirement for SniperELite?

Sometimes a launch with crash to destop is a video/grapics conflict, dont know what your specs are.

I got the no-DVD from Gamecopyworld. The game uses Starforce, which I thought was uncrackable, so I'm not surprised that it doesn't work. My PC runs the game with the DVD great. It's the no-DVD that crashes. :(

What country are you in? I am in the US. Maybe the game has a different publisher overseas that doesn't use Starforce.

By me the nocd/DvD works for Sniper Elite

I still can't use the no-CD for Sniper Elite. Would it help to post the file that's generated when I try to start it up and it crashes? The game still runs fiine with the DVD, but I can't get the no-CD to work. I am running Windows XP with an Athlon 64 3500 and an Nvidia 6800 GT. I have all of my drivers up to date. Could it be because I have the American version, and the crack is made for the Euro version?
