Splinter Cell 3 + Daemon Tools 4
Hi! So any how-to for this combo: Splinter Cell 3 (latest version) + Daemon Tools 4?
|
Works for me like this:
Make a copy of your original dvd with alcohol 120% latest version. Choose 4x speed. Check "Data position measurement" box and choose "high". When it ask for DPM measurement speed choose 1x. Mount the backup with Daemon Tools v4.00 and play. I've not tested it with the latest patch v1.03 just the retail v1.0 but it should works. Oh, you must unplug all cd/dvd drives for now, no ide emulation. |
Isn't there a way without unpluggin the CD/DVD drives?
|
it should work with the new version of daemon tools which will include IDE-JAMMER so you wont have to unplug anything

I think he meant 'future' release that will include IDE jammer.

I was hopping there would be an X3-like solution that would not require anything: niether the DVD Image nor unplug...

DT4 is just a huge let-down. Makes you wonder if they can actually deliver on all the things they promised.

Stop moaning.
They are working hard on it, im sure lucutis is trying to get it all ready. He did say there is bugs, and hes releasing a lite version to iron them out. And dont assume that this stuff is easy to do, they have to figure out protections etc, that is not a quick thing to do. Everybody becomes critics, if you dont appreciate it dont use it, its free so why complain? |
AM SHAGAR: I don't get v1.03 update, but v1.04 sure. I have the EURO
DVD version and v1.04 Update works (I remember v1.05 too, but US or EURO don't know). You wrote that ABSOLUTELY GOOD and USEFULLY!! With DT4... I tried it SPEED 1x, but if this works 4x I LOST MANY TIMES (hehehe)... Also some DRIVE are reading bad datas and the Image sometime not working on that drives. THIS IS ONLY for playing the Original with the backup Image, THIS IMPOSSIBLE working if you write to it on some DVD- writer types. FOR WRITING try DVD R-W 1st. (sorry 'bout my bad English) |
You should have windows xp sp2 to play??
