Star Wars: Battlefront 2 crash problem
 

My Battlefront 2 game keeps crashing to the desktop after the first mission. Sometimes, it will crash after an objective is completed. I've tried every setting combination I can think of for the audio and video, despite having more than adequate hardware, all to no avail. I'm running an A64 3000+, 1 GB RAM and a 6600GT PCI-E. I have not seen any indication of overheating. Any suggestions?

Are you using the Image from GCW or your original cd/dvd ???

It is an image run from Daemon. I'm sure it doesn't matter, but my brother was kind enough to lend me his disc while he was in town for the long weekend (he normally lives 4 hours away) since I normally do not have access to a computer store to buy the game myself as I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere.

I know your advice will be to go and buy my own copy, and I do intend to on Boxing Day when I go to Future Shop, but I will not do so if this crash is caused by a bug in the game and not just an emulation problem. All I'm asking is if anyone else has had this problem (either with the orginal disc or otherwise) and whether or not there's a fix for it.
