Toca RD2 (V8 supercars 2)
 

Hello, I don't want a crack, a no-DVD mod, I don't want to unlock cars or tracks. I just want to be able to @#$%ing play my copy of V* supercars 2!
I have installed it many times, ran the various patches, reloaded my ATI Radeon 9250 drivers, disabled the soundcard (Microprose told me to try this), I have even reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP2 on my computer.
Nothing works. I am ripping out what is left of my hair and the game developer can't even help me!
AMD 2200+, 256mb RAM, ATI Radeon 256mb, Windows XP Pro SP2 (not a patch but on original install disc).
Help, I need to keep some of my hair and I want to play this game.
P.S Game is crashing when I try to load ANY race (except opening short race). Crashes back to desktop when a new race is loaded.
HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

List more detailed spec of your PC

Like soundcard (if software or hardware)
Radeon version (i.e 9200, 9500 etc)
Motherboard,etc etc


The more info the better we can try to help.

It's a known issue with on board sound on asrock mbs and some other, what you need to do is get a sound card, you can get a sound blaster live! for pennies on ebay (and it's a really nice sound card too).

For pennies new also :)

The Live! 24bit is only about £22

well there you go... damm i payed 100 quid when the live! 1024 came out :(

The Audigy 24bit, OEM is about £35 :P


Anyways, just so you know luciel I gave that memory away, I gave you lots of time to reply :P I guess you didnt want that 1gig PC3200 ;)

I had a career with the 1.0 version and then when i updated the game it would crash, so I deleted my save games and started from scratch
eventhough the patch said it updates the career.

Also maybe you should go to the ATI website and update your drivers
