Beyond Good & Evil Snapshot Error Message

Can anyone help me with Error message on what it says & if & how it can fixed...

I have the Original Beyond Good & Evil & I get some weird stuff like on a couple of times it never finished the Installing (Then it aborted & Auto Deleted the files)
Then I put in my Ghost Backup & tried to install & this time it worked, so played for a while.
So put back my Full Ghost & installed Beyond Good & Evil again this time it worked but you think I can play the game NOPE the game will not start at all & it gives me some Error thing which tells me in a different Language (This is a Bought Game as Australian Version) so why the Different Lang. & here is a Snapshot of the Error Message...

Can anyone help me out here ? The game looks good from when I was able to play it.
By the way I put back the Ghost that the Game worked on before only to find this time its doing the same thing with this error Message.

Thanks in advance

Do you use a crack? Do you get the same error message when you use your original cd/dvd without crack?

Exactly the same thing happens as I had described wether the original disk or Crack, actually I got the Crack from GCW thinking it would fix the problem but no it didn't work... Also I was prepared to take the disk back to the shop & said I would print the error but when it came to it, the game worked so couldn't take back. But would like to keep it tho if possible.

The error message does not happen all the time but more reguly than never & thought now I would try again as I have done fresh install of OS WinXp SP2 & latest Drivers etc... So its driving me nuts. & more so that its Eng & the error message is in different Lang. I also tried to find later Patches but the latest is v1.01

Thanks for that as it could be a big help, I will now, uninstall then reinstall from the original disk this time (Has done it before from Original Disk) & see if it makes the difference, I will take another snapshot if it fails again.

Uhm, Hungarian is quite different from both Polish and Serbian, being a Finno-Ugrian language, not Slavic! ;) This is definitely Polish and should mean something like "Beyond Good & Evil hasn't been installed properly. Reinstall Beyond Good & Evil." (No, I don't know Polish at all but studied Russian in the past...)

Woops, not Hungarian. I was thinking Madyars... Dunno how u call them in english.

For your information, Hungarian is Magyar. ;)

The question is why is it showing up eastern european dialect on an aussie version?

Joe Forster/STA 03-11-2005 08:43

Perhaps, that's an internal error message and the developers are Polish...?

DABhand 03-11-2005 10:35

Yeah a quick job by the developers to sell it quick.

Its unusually strange to see that now, was more of a thing way back, but today developers usually have teams all over the globe developing their country's version.

Beyond Good & Evil

Well I have now installed it 5x again from original Disk
I still get the same error's
I put back on a Ghost I had before & even tho the game worked on this Ghost before now this time the game will not work, so I thinking there is something wrong with this Game & or Disk & I will take it back to the store now & ask them for a Replacement disk to see if that was the problem or not & if it still does the same thing then I will ask for a refund:(

Its pretty bad considering how many $$ you pay for these games to find out that you can not even play the game how its meant to be (Using an Original Disk)

I have a game called Will Rock & yes I can not play the Game at all unless I use the NO CD Crack (Thats 1 Useless Original CD)

1 question tho
is there anyone else that has had this same problem with the Game ?

Thanks for all your help & info's quite interesting
:) :) :)

Just checked with a friend a day ago. For him it displays the error in Cantonese. Hell, I didnt even know that Cantonese existed. I thought it was just a Chinese dialect. He said he just got another copy from the store and all was good. He mumbeld something about manufacturing problems...

Ok thanks for that info, gives me 1 more reason to take it back to the shop.
I just hope it can be fixed by a replacement disk, & hope they do the right thing by me to as I am a good customer to them.

:) :)
