Memory Help
Now this is probably a stupid question, what i want to do is remove my 2 512mb DDR (1Gb in total) memory modules and replace them with 2 1GB modules, but i am a) not sure that my motherboard will handle it b) not 100% sure which modules to buy
I have an advent T9000 (P4 3ghz). Does anyone know Is there any software that i can use/website that i can goto that will tell me what i have and if it is possible that my motherboard will handle 2GB DDR I think that my DDR should be 184 pin, PC3200 I have found a site selling 1GB (not 2 512mb sticks) sticks of the above 184 pin for £26 + £12 p&p i think this is good as i checked some mainline one and they want £75 ish Here are the details of the memory GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS 184 PIN Memory 3.2 GB/sec 400Mhz 2.5 Volt Module DIMM (DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY 128 X 4) Non-ECC, Non-Parity CAS Latency 2.5 |

£38 for 1gig its either
1. Damaged and trying to get rid of it 2. Cheap Generic memory that will cause problems.. £75 for 1gig memory (branded) is a good price. |
Heh... I just paid £210 for 2x 1Gb OCZ Platinum EL-DDR Modules... but it's sure as hell worth it!
