freezing
 

i have ps2 version 10 with a matrix chip inside. i sent it out to install a new laser. their are times that when i am playing the game starts skiping if not if freezes. i know its not the game because sometimes i can play that same game and it will not freez. can anyone please help me with this problem it is getting very annoying. somedays it doesn't do it at all. can a flash the chip because i did flash it with the latest software.

If you use low quality recordable media or if any of your discs have scratches and or smudges this can happen.

im using ridata discs. but i do take care of my games some of them are hot off the burner and they do this to me. i don't know i guess i will have to live with this

You have an infinity right? Why dont you install HDL to your memory card and install your back-ups to an HDD with winhiip on your PC. this way you can boot HDL from the memory card with no disc ant all in your PS2 and then boot your back-up on your HDD from HDL. Then who cares if your laser isnt up to the job. For those of you reading this you too should consider doing this to prolong the life of your laser anyway.
