CIV 4 - How can I make a image?

Hi,

I have a problem. I want to make a image of Civ IV. I use Alcohol. But when I male the image I can't select the datatype (safedisk ...). When the DVD is not in the DVD-ROM then I can select this type but is the DVD in the DVD-ROM then I Can't select the data type (burn profile). How can I use this profiles for DVDs.

Thanks.

If the source is a DVD then there will be no datatypes appearing in this box.

Create........then once the image is ready....mount in either Alcohol or D-Tools.

You will not be able to burn to disk......it will only work from a virtual drive! ;)

You probably want to either turn on the reading of the Subchannel data or the DPM- Post the protection that the game uses, and we should be able to help further :D

Hello,

the protection is:

Title: Civilization IV
Developer/Publisher: Firaxis Games
Country/Language: Germany/Multi (?)
Media Type: 1 DVD
Copy Protection: SafeDisc 4.60.000
Scanned with: A-Ray Scanner v2.0.2.3

Thanks for your help.

Hiya,
As this is Safedisc, you don't need DPM, but you probably want subchannel data. Make this new image, and then head over to www. g a m e b u r n w o r l d . com and download the Safedisc 4 hider from the tools page. Read the instructions that come with this, and use it carefully and you should be fine.

Cheers
