Issue with game detecting DTools/Alcohol 120%?

Hey everyone! I bought Black and White 2 the other day, and am just loving it! However, I own a laptop and take it all over the place with me, and it's a pain to haul all the CDs for my games with me. But, all I can find for BW2 is a mini-image, not a replacement exe, and whenever I mount the image, and start the game, I get the message "CD/DVD emulation detected, please turn off this software."

I tried turning off DTools, while maintaining the mount, but it's still the same problem...

Can anyone give me some advice, preferably with Daemon Tools, as it's the software I'm most familiar with. Or link me to a fixed exe?

Thanks!
~Nik

Be sure you use the latest version of DaemonTools.
You need to rename the drivers of DaemonTools.
Don't know where you can set the name in DaemonTools. With Alcohol120% you can set the names during the installation (ExpertMode).

You can set the driver names in Daemon tools while installing in advanced mode.

Maybe you try the SafeDisc 4 Hider announced on the gamecopyworld mainpage.

SR7.Stop is good at hiding them and also virtualCDhide. Both are available on GCW

Hello, I have the same problem. I tried to use all the virtual device hideing softwares downloadable from gamecopyworld, but the problem still remains.
I've not already tried to rename the device (you said that it's necessary) why I don't know which name to use.
Please, can you tell me wich name I have to use for the virtual device in Daemon Tools or Alcohol?

Thanks ;)

Anti-Blaxx should be able to solve the problem. Why not try that.

heh check the other threads about anti-blaxx, its tetchy, works for some, completely screws other ppls systems, sr7.stop is much better, as is virtual-cd hide, i wouldnt give anti blaxx to my worst enemy.. i aint that cruel

I have to admit that anti-blaxx does suck but sometimes its the only thing that would work. Sure it's coded in the word programming language that there is (Visual Basic) but it gets the job done, sometimes.

P.S. I'm probably giving anti-blaxx more credit that it deserves.

You may also be leading unsuspecting people into problems they wont know how to get back out off! It would be safer for some people to just use their original discs to play. I have read comments from many people who have tried antiblaxx and then had many problems they are not experienced enough to fix. Thats not entirely your fault tho as they should read up fully on what the program can and cant do! But maybe you should also include a comment like, "Antiblaxx may mess up your system, use at your own risk!"
That stops people having a go at you if it does mess up their system. ;)
