Going Online for Socom 3
 

Ok, I was wondering when I went online for Socom3 it states that I have an cheat device enabled and blocked my account for 1 hour. I am using Swap Magic disk to boot my backup. I read other posts and even people with ModChips it does the same.

I know people had this problem with Socom2 and i don't think it was ever fixed(I have the origial game of that). But I was wondering if anyone knows of an patch or how to fix the problem on Socom3. It passes the DNAS screen fine and everything, then right before I go to an room it states I have an cheat device enabled, so I know the DNAS does work.

I tried an CDLoaderv7 disk (from swapmagic fix site) and it loaded the game online, and did not show the cheat device enabled screen, but kept on disconnection me from the server. So it did bypass that part, but I just can't stay online to even join an game.

So any help would be great. If noone can find an fix, or don't know of one, I am going to go to walmart and get one, because this game is really fun.

I've read some reports off some few people they were lucjy to pass the recognition of cheating device and are able to play still. But when burning a second disk exactly the same won't work. There's no patch available so far though. Even trying to put it on the HDD doesn't work yet.

Does this mean you don't have the original for SOCOM 3? ;)

I have the original Socom 3, this backup copy would be for my other ps2, so we can play with family members in the house in another room. So when friends come over we can each play online. So we don't have to take turns playing.

socom 3 is not playable online with a back-up. Yes you can patch the disc to get past the DNAS but this particular game has more protection then just the DNAS. It has yet to be cracked and most likely wont be. So just use your original when your playing online like a good boy should.
