Need for Speed - Brennender Asphalt (High Stakes)
 

Hi there.

Yep, quite old game, but it´s still one of my favourite ones...
Sadly, I am not able to run this thingy under WinXP.

Patched it to the newest version (V4.50), swapped the 3D-Configuration with a "100% bugless version" (.nfo mentioned something like that) and tried the compatibility-mode.

This game starts and the hardware-acceleration is in use (no soft-renderer), BUT the game is sooooo damned slow... I read about this issue and it seems that the newer nforce-drivers (TI4600, XP2600+) may be the problem...

Someone here who had the same problem and solved it?!

Would be nice to get some more hints/ideas.

Revert back a version of the nforce drivers?

Goto nvidia.com got the nforce driver page and click on archive.

Yeah, this may work, but I don´t wanna switch back to the old ones because my newer games won´t work properly than...
