Battlefield 2 Uninstall/Install
 

Hi guys,

I've looked and looked for an answer to this one but to no avail.

A while ago I tried to uninstall BF2. The Installshield Wizard would start, but once it finished loading, it closed and nothing else happened. I tried it a few times but got the same result, so I just manually deleted it.

I've decided to install it again (thanks to the purchase of some more RAM) - but to my horror, I'm having the same problem trying to install it now! The installshield wizard starts loading, and once it's done, it closes and nothing else happens. :confused:

I tried renaming the Installshield folder so it would be reinstalled automatically but the problem persists. :mad:

I'm really desperate guys, if anyone can help I'd be very appreciative. Thanks!

Thats strange..


Goto Start Menu
goto run
type regedit and press enter


In the registry window

Navigate to


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software

You will see the Battlefield entry

either EA GAMES I think, if you look in that you will see Battlefield 2

Remove that folder on the left (the one named battlefield 2)

Then try to reinstall.

And this happen when you use your original dvd?
