How to use Deomon tool and anti-blax for BF2

Any one point newbie in right direction?

I only mount the mini-image in Daemon-Tools and then I play the game. No need for antiblaxx or anything here.

As a note, I did change the busdriver name during installation of DT.

Yeh I too only use Daemon tools to mount a mini image, without using anti-blaxx.
But I 'didnt' change the names of the busdrivers when installing DT's! ;)

Me, too Grumpy !
I use the standard bus names and it works without Antiblaxx
But if i try to play Spellforce it says "blabla detected" so i have to use Antibalxx for Spellforce
any other games work great !
Another way is just changing the windows user, often this works well...

OK let me show you guys what i have?

I have a dvd iso for BF2,(Which I made from my dvd)
(which I made a dvd with the iso)
I have a bf2mini-ski.mdf and a bf2mini-ski.mds file
What I did without instructions was burn a dvd of iso installed game then Install deomon tools and antiblax .
NOW how should I configure deomon tools and should I remove anti blax ?
All I did was install deomon tools as is Nothing added while I installed it.
I did a fly by wire and attemted to configure dt but I got as far as pick single game and multiplayer I hit single and lockup then I restarted game and got configure online something and it locked then. Now it is asking for cd to play
I just want to perserve my dvd copy so it will not get ruined and I have to spend another 40 bucks for new one . God I wish they made a simple no cd for this.
Remember New to this ... thanks

Here is what I did:

1. Installed Daemon-Tools (long time ago so already there, but still), with custom bus-driver name.
2. Installed Battlefield 2 using the DVD disc
3. Downloaded the mini-image by BleH! and mounted it with Daemon-Tools
4. Played the game

And after that I of course patched the game whenever a patch came and so on...

Custom bus driver name?

WHat is that and how do i do that?

I mount the mini image in an Alcohol virtual CD/DVD drive and it works fine.
Running ver 1.02.

During the installation process of DaemonTools & Alcohol 120% you can choose to use different names for the installed drivers. (In Alcohol120% Installation choose ExpertMode). For me i used the names "glhbus" and "glhscsi".

Also remember, if you have AnyDVD or any other type of DVD macrovision emulation, do disable it or games will pick up on it as emulators.

It just asks for an email address, doesn't check anything. At least, ver 1.0 didn't, not sure about 1.03.

As far as I know there are no special checks during game start.
It checks that you have a valid serial when logging in and that it is registered to your account.
It checks for CD/DVD when launched. The mini-image will get pass that and allow the game to start.

No more checks. However I hope that EA/DiCE will remove the cd-check/safedisc protection later on because it still has serial check and that is the best protection for online games anyway.
