Which Is Better Norton or Mcafee
 

What do people think?? Am getting a bit bored of norton to be frank having bought all the products (antivirus & firewall) for the past 4 years, lately have seen some very negative things about norton and also whenever i goto to check my security online i see that i am not secure although i have fully configured norton to be just that!!! So am thinking about the new McAfee version 7, what do people think, i have norton 2005 etc

NEITHER, STAY AWAAAAY FROM THEM!!!!! Zonealarm for firewall and AVG or Kaspersky for Antivirus!

I agree with Luciel. Both products are crap. I use AVG and ZoneAlarm.

Also meant to ask is there any website that you can use that will check out your firewall and give you a diagnostic, i.e if it's working etc

not quite sure if i have explained that last bit right but how do i know it is all working

Many thanks for such a speedy reply, have just tried both, the first shields up said the computer was like a fort knox( my words not theirs) the second said it was unsecure with at least one port open where shields up said i had none! so am even more confused

ny ideas help etc and many thanks to all who have helped so far
