Dear moderators,
yesterday,Fable:The Lost Chapters and Dungeon Siege 2 were released.A few hours(!) later, the no-cd patches were an gamecopyworld. This shows me,that you are really fast and that there are many skillfull people out there, who are making the patches.
Buuuuuuut.....;) Is there really noone who is able to create patches for starforce protected games?.It is not impossible(Silent Hunter 3),but is it really so damn difficult? If these people are able to create a patch for games with a normal protection within hours,do they really need months for making a patch for a Starforce-game? Looking forward to your comments. T.D. |
StarForce 3 - Copy Protection
That's a bit more complicated than you think. There are several games with "StarForce 3" as copy protection, that have been cracked, but in these cases there is only the .exe which launches the game, protected.
But in most cases of "StarForce 3"-protected games, there are lots of files on the disc protected!!! So creating a NO-CD-/NO-DVD-CRACK would take months or even years here! And there's also NO program yet, that can emulate this copy protection!!! Probably "Daemon Tools 4" will be able, when it will be released or "GameJack 5" will perhaps be able in new version in the future! At the moment you can just wait! MontyBurns1985 |
like monty says, either sit and wait for the crack (patience is a virtue and all that), or quit whining and learn to crack, the latter of which is considerably harder than the former.. some sf3 games are easy to crack, some arent (using hidden files etc etc..), same goes for securom, safedisc etc..
i suggest you try cracking something just to see how difficult it is, and then you might change your tune |
Just a note on the side, us moderators mostly dont make or post the cracks, as the "tittle" sujests, we just moderate ;)

yes the 20th but the topic was that this site had the trainer and cracks already out
|
A pirated version has been out for awhile thus giving time to crackers/patchers to do this which denotes the idea that patches are completed within hours of a release
At least this is what i've come to believe |
