Counter Strike: Source Problem (cant start game/server)
 

Hi, i've got a problem :)
I want to have a poor and clean version of HL2 + CSS so i extracted the GCF-Files out of the CAB-Files from the HL2-DVD and extracted the Maindata by GCFscape v1.2.9.
After that i can FIX the game by Target21's FIX-crack and run the hl2.exe with the parameter "-steam". Now i can play HL2 without Steam or DVD.
But when i try to play CSS (hl2.exe -steam -game cstrike <optional>-dev -console<optional>)it crashes down.

Can anyone help me please?

PS: My mothertongue isn't english, so please excuse mistakes :o

CS:source needs to be online with steam

How did you manage it ?!
Did you make your copy of HL2 run without steam activation :confused:
Is it a non-english version ?!
Please tell me how to do it !!!

I think it is possible to run CSS on LAN without a Steamconnection!

On the DVD are CAB-Files. You can open them by e.g. WinRAR. Then You extract ALL GCF-Files, that are placed in the CAB-Files, on your harddisk. After that you open the GCF-Files (one by one) and extract the gamefiles on your Harddisk (all in the same "root"-Folder). Then you take the Traget21 Fix-cracked-Files and take it over the existing original one.

YES, german version. But the FIX-Files originally written for the english version.
Please tell me how to do it !!!
