Another Swap magic prob
Well, as many of you know, i recently installed a Swap magic with Swap tools for my PS2. Well that was model scph-70003. I had to get it replaced due to an error it had with PS1 memory cards and took it back. I just got it home to find that piece C (the hinge) will not work. Now I know ceramic models have a special protection, but this isn't anothe colour. Moreso, it says that it is ALSO scph-70003. SO I was wondering what i can do, and also if someone could tell me if there are two versions of the same model ( know there are a few other models of this version flying around, but I meant two scph-70003).
Oh and please don't just say "Buy a mod chip" because that isn't useful as I have a reason i don't want to buy one. Thanks. |
..and the reason is?
Seriously, chips aren't as expensive as you reckon (if that's the reason), and providing you give it to someone who can solder (i.e. a professional) - I can recommend some numerous people around the UK (if that's your reason also). I'd forget the swappy, slidy crap and just go the whole hog. It's quite possible Sony applied these defences to all new PSTwos manufactured, and therefore, would be why the swap tools won't be working for you... |

What exactly is your reason for not buying a chip  |
