My friend stole my xbox and has had it modded and i am wanting to know how do i find out what was done to it and how to put in a bigger HD cause apperently they wiped all my saved game spots not the game just my progress... Asshole... he said oh sorry dude i couldent afford a bigger hd so there is nothing on it there is a dir for emulators and and outher stuff... any help is greatly apreashated

he stole it <took it with out telling me> trying to be nice cause i was talking about getting it chiped...
got it modded and returned it ... thout the emulators for the game boy and nes were on it but they werent so he explaned what he did.. the guy that moded it won't tell what he did and wants 100 juts to restore it.. so now i am trying to figure it out

Well he didnt steal it, he was trying to do a favour :)


But its unusual for a HD to be wiped for a chipping.

This is what I think happened.


XBOX taken

Guy at shop, gets XBOX to chip, goes round to back, notices good stuff on HD, removes HD and puts in another one (probably second hand and a bit shifty/not-100% working)

Pal comes back to get XBOX, guy says about HD had to be wiped.

You get back and then come here..

Here's what I think happened! (Pure Speculation though) :D

2 Guys steal xbox! Get it home and mess around with deleting everything on the harddrive as they didnt like the games on it! But did notice an emulator directory so tried to leave that intact. They Buggered it up and now want to know how to restore it! ;)

he diden't get it chiped it is modded some outher way i opened it and it is still all my stuff... i took it apart to find out what version it was... it is the version 1.0... now the issue at hand how do i figoure out how or what was done to it.. it has been modded but i am not sure what was changed i can change the dashboard and there is an emulator Dir and there is some sort od media player thing on it also looked that the settings stuff and you can turn on the autoplay feture for games and movies and data files... how do i find out what has been done to it ??
