tool to check speed that DVD was burned
hi,
I wonder if there is a tool that allows me to verify at which speed I have written my DVD's in my Plextor 708 DVD writer; reason is that DVD's that were written at 8x show problems in my Denon player after a while, when temperature of the DVD is increasing and towards the end of the DVD. DVD's that were written at lower speeds do not show this problem. I want a quick way now to verify which DVD's were written at 8x so I can rewrite them at lower speed. thanks in advance, Romain |
I don't think that this is really possible ?!
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but it seems impossible to see with which speed a DVD was burned with ! |
If your DVD RW drive has speed about 16X or 8X,you should burn at lower speed. It will gurantee your drive better and you can use it for along time although it's low for you to burn.

This maybe what you are looking for on your Plextor burner :) "'Read Transfer Rate Test' performs a sequential reading of all sectors on the disc while calculating the transfer rate at the same time. 'Write Transfer Rate Test' performs a sequential write test while calculating the transfer rate at the same time" |
