While Sam'n'Max Hit the Road is certainly an oldie but goldie,
1. this is NOT a general game support forum; 2. don't bump (forum rule #8)! Perhaps, you might wanna read another walkthrough and/or the ScummVM docs (maybe, this is a known bug in the ScummVM engine!). |
Sam n' Max is NOT a ScummVM GAME either! ScummVM is an INTERPRETER for games written using the SCUMM script language, first used in LucasArts game Maniac Mansion, hence the acronym SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion). It sounds like you are playing an illegal version bundled with the ScummVM interpreter!

hey i tried liek 20 walkthroughs
it always says to stop the thing spinning i dunno how to do that i try quitting out of the spiinning thing but it just says "stop it when u see frog rock" i dont get what to do is stopping it like a button or something? grrr and yea its off my cd itself so its legal i mean i had the same problem on pc... so consider it that |
@GLH: That's why I said it 'sounds' like it was an illegal version :)

History has proven people in places of power can sometimes abuse their position, in this case by probably banning someone without warning , allegedly!
I own the DOS VGA version on 3.5" Floppy Disk if that's any consolation ;) In fact, there is an upgrade card in my box for the CD-ROM version for only UK £7.50. But I can't order it till after FEBRUARY 1st 1994 it says :D |
yea trust me i know the rules and stuff
barry, do u know how to stop it its still sooo irritating! i wanna get past this part but i can never seem to know how to! |
You mean with the binoculars! In the rotating restaurant don't ya!
First use the wires on the binoculars, then use the furshlugginer lens on the binoculars. To control the binoculars look at the semi-circle between the two wires when you are using the binoculars. Simply right or left click your mouse cross hair in this semi-circle to make the pointer move in the direction you want to go. But hey, it tells you how to do this in your Crimestompers' Coloring Book, the section called 'Using Binoculars', Page 6 in mine!! The pointer will either be far left (max speed left), 10'oclock position (slower speed left), straight up (stopped), 2'oclock (slower speed right) and far right (max speed right). So to stop you would left/right click until the pointer is straight up. The idea is to stop the restaurant on the 2 places Shuv-Oohl tells you, in my game it was between Argyle Forest and Enchanted Lights, so once you have located those 2 places you rotate the restaurant slowly between those 2 places until you see a 'rock' and try to stop on the rock. This should be Frog Rock! You can get the names of all the places by stopping on each location, you will be told the description and so you can get the exact 2 places to rotate between and locate Frog Rock! |
