problems with copying dvd's

I'm new to all of this, so I'm in the learning process. I ordered the software Icopydvds2v4.0 and the dvdfor free ripper. I've had nothing but problems. I managed to get past the css error with the ripper, but then after the dvd was about 50% copied I'd get a message that said encrypted data and then just hang there. Now when I click on copy it says it copies the 2 hour dvd in about 5 seconds, but it is really not doing anything. Does anyone have any ideas, is it just the software icopydvds2? Any thought would be appreciated, I'm going crazy here??

I dont know much about the programs you have mentioned but you would have been better to purchase 'AnyDVD' and 'CloneDVD2'. They will do all DVD copies. AnyDVD will take care of the protections and CloneDVD2 will copy the movie DVD. ;)

Although these are the best first methods, the combo doesn't always work right after a new release. Sometimes you have to restort to other programs like dvdshrink or dvddecrypter in combination with anydvd. Usually though anydvd is updated to correct these new release protections pretty soon afterwards.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. everyone. I actually am within the 30 days, so I'll send the icopydvd program back. Then I'll purchase 'AnyDVD' and 'CloneDVD2' and give it another try.
Thanks again. Now as soon as they figure out how to get around the nagra 2 on dish I'll be back in action.

Where to buy

Does anyone know the best place to buy "'AnyDVD' and 'CloneDVD2'? I'm sure there are some preferred vendors and I might as well use them.
Thanks again.

Slysoft.com is the developer for both and as far as I know the only place to purchase them........

Grumpy 26-07-2005 23:21

Try here: http://www.slysoft.com/en/ You will get both AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 from there. ;)

Yeah, buy them directly from Slysoft.com. If you go through another website, then chances are you are buying somebody elses copies of the activation keys (which isn't a good idea if you want updates as they come out).
Also DVD 43 (DVD for free) and DVD Shrink are a good combination--they are both free programs. DVD Decryptor was awesome, but there will never be anymore updates for it. AnyDVD and Clone DVD2 are good programs to have. Good luck.
