V9 UK PS2 +12v PSU Point?

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/playstati...e/DSCF0279.JPG

Could one of you tell me which point will give me safe +12v on this V9 UK PSU. It's for my new dual-cathodes which i'll be putting in my new case.

Thanks...

yeah. I'm actually building my own custom case from scratch :)

It's gonna look pretty sweet when it's all finished. Does anyone know for certain?

Thanks...

Lufc the 4 pronged socket are 12V, 2 are grd and 2 are power. Just follow then back to a good solder point on the PS2. That PSU is way different looking then the ones here in the USA but the 4 pronged socket should still be 12V.

If you can show a picture of the other side it might be easier to tell. You could also hook up your fan and just the PSU and turn it on with out the rest of the PS2 and prob around for 12V, just dont shock yourself.

cheers Sped :)

I'll take a piccy of the other side. Thanks for the tip...

That's the top of the PSU. Any ideas which I need for the +12v? Also, which would I use for Ground? Any of the middle 2?

Thanks... :)

OK well the top of the psu didnt really help much but looking again at the bottom again I would have to say that the 2 points I marked are what your looking for. One set will be 12V+ and the other set will be 12V- or ground. you can determine which is ground by having your PSU hooked up to the modo like it should and with your DVM's continuity checker put one probe on the ground plane of the mobo and the other probe on one or the other of the points I have marked. Then you will know which is ground and the other should be 12V+.

you're a star Sped! Thanks a lot. :)

Btw, when I've done, I shold end up with one wire on a red point and one wire on a yellow point as marked on your drawing, correct?

I guess I'll whip out the ol' DVMeter tomorrow and take a look.

Thanks again - your help is SO MUCH appreciated :D

OK, if you look at the underside view of my PSU, the two right points (yellow) are +12v and the two left points (red) are Ground.

Thanks Sped, you're the man! :D
