a problem with scrabland!!!!!
 

hy i have buy´d scrabland(german cd version) and anytime when i will start the game he say please insert the original disk!! i think the cd is defekt and i go to the store ant try another cd!!! but at home he says please insert the original disk!!! after this i have make my windows new !!! no new results!!! then i used starfuc.... and a miniimage !! but the same!!! insert.............! what can i do :confused: i will play this game!!! please help!!!!!! :(

Your cd reader is prob to old, starforce has this ****ty effect, either take the game back and get a refund or buy a new cd reader (they are dead cheap now a days aniways). You can also take it up with the publishers maybe they have some sort of patch? dunno

but i think my cdreader is not to old i can play splinter cell 3 and other starforce protectet games without a problem!!
and when the cdreader is too old the game must run with an miniimage!! but this doesn´t work!!! :( :confused:

well if the reader cant read it properly from the start then its kinda pointless wether the mini image works or not as u had to install from original cd, try the game on someone elses computer, see what happens.

I have 3 drives a Compaq DVD-ROM GD-8000, a Lite on 52327S CD-RW External Drive and a Phillips CDD 4801 CDRW drive as anyone can see the last drive I mentioned is very old and crappy

My DVD ROM drive take ages to validate Starforce games, the Lite On drives don't validate always says that I shoud use insert the game on other drive but very strange the crappy phillips drive is the only one of my 3 drives that validate starfoce games faster sound strange for my because burns cds very slow don't copy most recent protections, don't have cd-text but do this very well is not were for this drive I think I never could play the ST games well and now I have some problems this drive to close tray I have to push the button like 4 times to get the drive closed I hope don't get damaged but for the other part Securerom games from ver 4.89 or higher only validate on my DVD-ROM drive the copy protections are a problem sometimes

do what everyone does, instead of closing it with the button, push it ;)

I tried it on another PC and it worked!
I put out the Reader, and put it into the other Computer,
and it didn´t worked again!
Why can´t I play this sucking game?!

Then its obviously your pc and not the game, im convinced its the reader, just get a new one its prob half the price of the game.
