Battlefield 2 Mini image, i need help.
 

Ok ive been searching around and this is what ive done-

-Made a .iso of the BF2 DVD.

-Mounted the .iso on a vitual drive using Deamon tools.

-Installed the game.

-Used the no cd crack to play. (Finally my BF2 cd is safe!)

-Replaced the NO cd crack files with orginals and patched to V1.02.

-Downloaded the fixed mini image from Gamecopyworld.

-Mounted the .mds on a vitual drive


Now when i click a desktop icon or any icon to lauch BF2, it does not work.

I see the BF2 picture, then the screen goes black and blinks. Then it goes back to desktop.

I have tried another pair of .mds and .mdf.

YES i have kept both the .mds and .mdf in the same place.

Any help? Thanks.

does it work with your "safe" original dvd?

Thats the thing, the DVD will work sometimes and sometimes it wont. I think its due to all the places my cousins put it and the fact its kind of dirty (I did try and clean it up).

Its safe now, i put it up on top of a cuboard. But seeing as im always in the house and therefore my uncle wants me to babysit cousins, it is still in quite some danger.

I cant keep an eye on them for so long.

LOL anyway enough about that.

Why you don't use the mini image on GCW combined with the original exe from the game. This works :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

It certainly does, I find the 'Battlefield 2 [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image SKULL' mounted in Daemon tools(no emulation) works best for me.

You are describing what happens when the 'fixed' exe is still being used, if you have inadvertently replaced it with the wrong exe, you will have to re-install it again to regain originality.

i installed the new vl.02 patch
i have the no dvd mini image mounted
i luanch bf2....screen goes black...then it goes back to desktop
grrr...now i have to go try and find my dvd again

at gcw it says make sure to not use default drivers?
this is the first time i've used daemon tools so i have no clue what that means.
i was using the no dvd .exe but that doesn;t work with the new patch

hmmm...i thought the new patch would replace the .exe and cordell.dll
guess thats what my prob is...im still using the no cd exe...
damn...didn't make a copy of the original exe so i guess i gotta reinstall...ghey

getting a black screen and/or return to desktop is a new bug introduced by 1.02 :(
