SHIII v1.4b w/ crack?
 

Would this method work for getting rid of the StarForce in 1.4b?

1. Install SH3 on another computer besides the comp u use for playing
2. Patch that installation to 1.4b
3. Use Starforce Cleaner and get rid of starforce
4. Get rid of the exe's and dll's in the SHIII install directory
5. Burn that install directory to a disk
6. Overwrite your primary PC's SHIII v.1.0 installation folder (still using
v1.0 exe's and dll's)
7. Run the game?

What's going on here is that you are replacing the 1.0 files with 1.4 files directly,
not from any Starforce-happy patching programs. You still use the original
EXE's and dll's.

I have not tried this, would it work?

P.S. Does the 1.0 no-cd crack on GCD work with patch v.1.1?

I don't get it; are you trying to run the patched, version 1.4b game with the unpatched, version 1.0 main program? Then you will run into major problems, because of the mismatching game components. Also, why would this work with a backup CD/DVD, when all versions are protected with Starforce? Also, if you think this would work, why don't you try it with a rewritable CD/DVD?

I mean, you make up ideas that surely don't work and then expect us to try them...?!

Your idea will still be v1.0 as the files that really need the updates are still v1.0!

All other files except Exe and Dlls are just plain resources...

having them patch is no big deal
