ps2 problem help.. no video output
hello
i didnt use my ps2 for awhile.. when i tried using it again.. there is no video/audio in tv but the ps2 is working fine i guess? can anyone help me.. thanks is there a problem with my modchip? loose solder? any suggestions? thanks |
You could still use it
Try hitting it lol. No really, I have the same problem with mine some times, cheak your sony video output plug in the back, if those pins don't hit right you get no picture, and make sure your tv is on. Worse case buy a new cable like 3.99 or something.

this probably wont help, but my ****wad little cousin changed my RCA plugs around, so vid was going into audio etc. just check those.

well I noticed that my cable in the back of my ps2 is a little loose from time to time. So do what oZEROo said "check the cables first make sure they are plued in right" as what SimpleSnake said more and less it is the cable part that plugs into the ps2, it is always loose. So check them make sure it is in right, wiggle it if you have to; check if you see or hear anything. If that does nothing. Check your tv does it support svideo if it does make sure you have it set to rca input and not svideo. Mine supports svideo and all I would get is an black screen if I plug an rca unit into it.
If all else fails try to put something else in the rca input like an vcr make sure your tv ports are working fine. If tv rca ports are working go out an get an new ps2 cable. That should do it, I doubt it is your ps2. |
thanks for the reply..
i have 2 rca of my ps2 :( i tried both of them.. still no video output.. hope if i buy new one.. that solves the problem :) yah i tried on my tv a dvd player.. and it plays well.. waahh this is my 2nd ps2... argh il try testing it on other tv |
The good old days
I remember my first psx, it had straight RCA in and out. That was simplicity at its greatest.
