Yup, it causes a memory leak & they recommend you uninstall your game, then re-install but DO NOT install the patch...

The patch of this game was the same as the patch 1.2 of Farcry ditched

I wondered why I kept getting booted back to the desktop after installing the patch. I uninstalled and am happy with the retail version.
