PS2 or Mod problem?
 

Have a Pre-modded V7 with an Infinity and HDLoader. Been working great for about 8 months. Finished playing a game last night and when I tried today it didn't work.

When I first turned it on the tv wasn't getting a signal at all. Pushed the reset button a couple of times and just got a black screen. Pushed it once or twice more and I got to the browser screen. If I put a back-up in all I get is the red screen telling me to put in a ps2 disc. Even then, originals won't boot all the time. About 75% it'll boot originals but that's after I push the reset buttons 10 or so times and finally get to the browser.

This just sounds strange. It doesn't sound like the console, I could be wrong, but it sounds like maybe something came loose. Kinda strange after 8 months of good performance, if it was going to be a laser thing it would have came on slowly and progressively got worse. Did it maybe get drpped? Have you opened it to have a look yet?

Think it was a false alarm. Apparently my cousin came over while I was at work and played my ps2 all day. Dad said he left about 15 minutes before I got back. Think it just overheated or something. Tried it again after I heard that and it worked fine.

Scared the crap outta me though.

Take the false alarm part back. Played it for about 20 minutes or so to test it out. Hit reset and the previous problem happens.

does your fan fire up when ya start up ?????? thinkin fans feked ???
