how do i mount files?

for bf2 i downloaded the rar. and it says mount with dameon toold how do i do that?

Well you don't mount the Rar for one, you extract the mini image(if that's what it is) for kick off. Having winrar installed would be a great advantage.

Daemon tools is next on the list, Gamecopyworld has the link for this app.

Run Daemon tools, right click on the tray icon, click on the 'Virtual CD/DVD-ROM' option.
Then set number of devices, one should suffice.
Now select 'Mount image', browse to where you've extracted the mini image and well mount it.

www.daemon-tools.cc

download - install - create virtual cd drive with it

download mini image
extract with winrar mds/mdf file - mount with daemon tools into virtual drive

play with original exe.

Did you read all of my post?

I'm using 'Battlefield 2 [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image 21-06-2005 SKULL ', this works fine with the 1.01 patch.
The downloaded file is 'jmt-miniBF2CD.rar', this needs to be extracted with winrar.
You then end up with 4 files, two are nothing, but the two required are 'bf2mini-skl.mdf' and 'bf2mini-skl.mds'.

When you browse for the image with Daemon tools(I explained how to do this), it will be looking for a '.mds' (or media descriptor) in this instance the 'bf2mini-skl.mds'.
The other file 'bf2mini-skl.mdf' needs to be present in the same folder as the 'bf2mini-skl.mds' as well.
