SuperPower 2 1.4 crack error
 

I've copied over the files, but when I try to run the game I get this error:
Heading: joshua.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Body: The procedure entry point RestoreLastError could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll

P.S. I have a legit copy; does the Reloaded crack only work on the pirate version?

It may be the crack works only on WinXP/2000 and not Win98/Me?

I don't think so; I'm running on Windows 2000.

The crack will only work on Windows XP. RestoreLastError does not exist in older Windows versions, it is called SetLastError there.

Solution: open the exe with a hex editor and change RestoreLastError to SetLastError. I think there is a tool floating around that can do this for you, but I have never used it.

Editing the Exe in a hex editor won't work because the dll file name get screwed up somehow. Then again, I'm no fancy programmer so I might just lack the knowledge on how to bypass such side effects.

Blasted thing...I really hope a Win98 version comes out soon...

And the most frustrating fact is that I HAVE the ORIGINAL LICENSED GAME, installed it without problems, applied the patch without problems but then my computer or the game ort whatever, refuses to recognise the CD somehow.

Rats, this makes me wanna badmouth myself to insanity.

Just install the game, 1.4 patch, 1.4 no-cd, then download this

Extract the file, run the fixer, then when it asks which file to patch, tell it to patch joshua.exe. If that doesn't work, also patch that ginger.dll or whatever its extension is...

(What's with those developers, why they make up such wierd names for game files...)

As for me, after applying crack, the game simply doesn't launch :(

Did you patch to v1.4 before applying the crack?

The game needs to start a server on your local machine, if you're firewall has blocked any programs accessing the network that could stop it from running?

Also, it appears the original crack only works on XP not 2000 without modifying the EXE as linked a few posts ago!

I installed the game, then applied the official 1.4 patch. A last I unzipped the crack into the game folder, replacing old files. However when I launch the exe nothing happens :confused: , even if I disable my firewall. I have WinXP with SP2.

I have the game and it works fine with the crack.
What happens when you delete the game, reinstall it from the Org. CD, update the game to 1.4b!
Does it now run with the CD? If yes: Save the org. files, copy the crack and try again. If not, post the error with the org. CD inserted.

Unfortunately my Cd1 broke last week when removing it from the CD case :( , as was my Diablo 2 CD by the way... Since then, I always make images when buying games that needs CD to run.
I wanted to play SP2 again but I can't. Once the crack applied, I double click on the shortcut but nothing happens :confused: :confused: :confused:

well then you are braking the EULA and it's illegal fro you to play this game, so contact your publisher and get a replacement, thread closed.
