Problem with Cossacks 2
 

guys help i have made installation of cossacks 2 but i cannot play the battle for europe i dontw know why its saying i must play first campaign i did this everything but still i cant play the ,what shall i do??

First, next time, choose a much more informatiove subject for your post! Second, this problem does not seem to be related to backing up games: if you're having problems with playing your game from your original CD/DVD then RTFM, contact the publisher or go to the official game support forum.

I had the same problem, I think that you used the crack that replase the engine.exe and the other file... Well those cracks have been taken from the demo version, so just like the demo they only let you play the tutorial campaign and a few maps.
There seems to be another crack out there but I can´t figure out how to use it.

well.......... I can not figure out how to use the other crack either (the one with the 3 files).

If annyone out there has a working cossacks 2 cracked with those files ... can he please e-mail me the files: ENGINE.EXE , protect.dll , sfdrv01.sys. thanx!

and i want to make a mini -image what can i use to mount the mini image

I have a problem with the patch... I installed the game and the protection, used the removal tool, ran the updater but then can't patch the sfdrv01.sys because it isn't in my c:/windows/system32/drivers path... It simply isn't there, so I can't patch it. When I try starting the game it does run the protection tool however. Anyone has an idea? I am using 2 harddisks and windows XP professional SP2. The windows-file on my primary harddisk doesn't even have a system32 file in it, the one on my secondary harddisk has one but without the sfdrv01.sys file in it. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Hey Northstar, if you first used the removal tool to remove the copy protection then how do you expect the update tool to update the copy protection that you've just removed?!
