i finally made toca racedriver 2 work!!!!!
 

hey fellas maybe this an overdue post but i recently came across toca 2 game ( P-) ) it was a really a pain the butt to make it go.
i downloaded this file.

installed the game full install from dvd and made an iso image of the dvd with dvd decrypter in the c:\ and mounted the image with daemon tools 3.47 then executed de patched rd2.exe and voila!!!!! works like a silk!!! no messing with the ide optical drives or crazy annoying stuff. an 100% stable. but there's a catch, you need at least 8gb free in your hdd to be able to run rd2 with this workarround.

As far as I know this file is not simply a replaced .exe - it is a bootloader instead.
It mounts an in-build mini-image under use of daemon tools, cheats the starforce-key-protection by writing the mini-image-compatible dvd-key into the registry and then finally executes the game.

To sum it up: You don´t need your huge dvd-decrypter (just a simple .iso-image!) generated image. It should work without it, though.

I would like to ask if there is any crack for splinter cell:chaos theory.probably ity can be cracked in the same way as toca 2
