Half-Life 2 German Version
 

While decrypting the game the process stops @ 33% and within hours nothing happens. Do I have any support possibility?

Shall I go back to the discounter and bring it back with an activated account? I´m totally pissed off with this game.

I got an unguilty address for e-mail-support and a telephone number which costs me nearly one buck/euro per minute(0,62€/min).

Can someone please help me? :confused:

Man merkt sofort, dass du ein Deutscher bist! Man erkennt es nicht nur an deiner deutschen HL2-Version, sondern auch an deinem Schreibstil :p
Ist das lustig: ungültige E-Mail bedeutet NICHT unguilty, das heißt im Englischen nämlich unschuldig... ;)
Richtig wäre : invalid... :D Ist ja nicht so schlimm nur halt witzig... Sprachen lernen ist schwer... :rolleyes:

Once again in English:
I just said that you can easily notice he's a German because he used 'unguilty' instead of 'invalid' which means "ungültig" in German. Sounds a bit like unguilty and is easily changed by Germans (also I did this a couple of years ago...)

Well, after installation and registration the game is gonna be decrypted(reason: copy protection). Yeah and the process stops @ 33%.

-Naturally I meant invalid.-

But now take a seat and listen, I was @ the discount got a new game and the same thing happens with the new game. Can´t decrypt it and so I can´t play it.

I already solved the game when it was up-to-the-minute but I wan´t to play my new account again. I also called vivendi they won´t take the game back.

What would u do??? :confused:

it may sound a bit strange but maybe you have to reinstall windos... can't answer your question very well , never had such a problem... according to your explanation it might/must depend on your PC... ;)
i still don't really know what you mean with decryption... the starting of the game when it looks for the original CD/DVD ?
Do you mean when it decrypts the main executable with the "code" it got from the CD/DVD ? Pls explain to me if i was right... :D

I think he mean "Downloading the HL2 & Steam-Updates", which are big gcf-files. After downlaoding them, the gcf-files needs to decrypt to play well with the Box version of HL2.

The best thing would be to buy 2 new personal computer for installing the game. :cool:

Does he show a loading screen and stops at exactly 33% or are you just guessing?

Look there is a message box with a status report how much of the game was decrypted. And in my game u see that only 33% are decrypted & this number doesn´t change to lets´s say 34%. :cool:

I´m totally mad. I spent to much money for it for just keeping it @ home to see the picture of dr. gordon freeman. And I want to play this game. Now get a load of this, I will have to change the game @ the discounter a second time untill I can play it. :cool:

BTW mujifighter u don´t have this f***ing piece of quality software @ home? :cool:

P.S.: I activated the game via 56k Modem. Everything is alright. Thanks !!!

did it by isdn yesterday and it stopped at exactly 33% ! :eek:
i was that scared after reading this post and having the same problem the day after... :(
waitet 10 min and it jumped to 46% and my heart jumped so high you can't guess how i felt in this moment, i danced in my room and i was actually singing !!!!! ;)
it worked well after this...

PS: i had this one but didn't play it half a year ago so couldn't remember :cool:
