mod without the chip
 

Just ran into this site. I was wondering if there is a way to mod my xbox without a modchip or spending any means of cash? In other words is there anything i can download and make use my dvd burner to create a disc based moding system?

Also does anyone know where I can get Evo X for my Xbox? :)

Also, you can do a tsop flash with a v1.0-1.1 xbox and still be able to play on xbl (need to solder a switch)

Or, you can do a tsop flash on a v1.2-1.5 xbox if you never want to play on xbox live.

Yes softmodding will work fine. The only problem nowadays is to find the required games. Sure Splinter Cell and the like is widely avaible, but there is one problem. Any version newer than the original release has the exploit fixed so it is not usable. The same applies to Mech Assault...

The other problem is to have a mem card, some do most don't have one.

Read the guide and do what it says and you will be fine.
But I can recommend Krayzies installer instead of softmod installer deluxe.
it is using a better exploit...

If I understand this correctly soft modding works,but not all games work and live is immpossible. Kosmiq, is there any new soft mods that dont have this issue of certain games not working. I'd love if Halo 2 woriks. The main reason I want to mod my xbox is cuz I want to back up my games. My bro seems to always screw up my games.

Some softmods still enable live by using an exploit found in the audio player of the MS dash.

All games work with softmodding....But only three games work to DO THE SOFTMOD....YOu need SC, Mech Ass 1, or 007, the first and original games....The Platinum hots versions will not work as the exploits have been deleted. Chipping and Softmodding both have plus/minus features so read up and choose your own path. :-)

and ltools or all of the required files....you should be able to search out softmod here or at xbox-scene and find everything you need.

If you use Krayzies installer as I told you, you won't need any specific stuff... It works on all versions...

Otherwise you can find out by doing one of these I would recommend the serial one as then you won't void the warranty...
