Kotor 2 crash

right after i start a new game it crashed on me right after the up-scroll beginning, where it tells the story and it crashed every time, anybody have any idea of why it crashes?

Try it without the no-CD patch, with the original CD, update your motherboard/video/audio/whatever drivers, check for viruses/adware, run Windows update, contact the publisher, refer to the official game support forum etc. etc.

i do use the no cd patch, and im in the process of making the 2.10.427 game patch but if i cant get the game running to actually test it i wont be able to make a valid crack and i did update my motherboard and audio and video, and i reinstalled the game yesterday didnt update it and i used the 2.0 nocd patch and its still not working -.-

I dont want to sound condescending but

if you have no idea why the game crashes I doubt you will be able to remove the protection.

My 2 cents.

If you are trying perhaps a debugger you have running in your attempt is the reason why it crashes.

Other than that, it may be just a driver problem or a bad install or file.

Try disabling the movies under the configure settings before you start the game. The scrolling text at the beginning is a movie file, and its very common (especially for ati cards) for kotor2 to crash after any movie.

If you do have an ati card, I upgraded to the latest catalyst drivers from the ati site and was then able to play it with the movies on. If you don't have an ati card try disabling the movies anyways see if it works.

I'll try and help you out because I really want a no-cd patch for the 2.10 (1.0b update) version.

If I remember rightly, I think someone said they put on AntiAliasing in the options and started a new game and it went to the droid tutorial part of the game.

After which they turned off AA.

My friend got the same probs, after disabling the movies it worked well... (he's got the ATI Radeon 800 XT or similar stuff)
That has nothing to do with the nocd ;)
Playing a game without movies is not very funny but fortunately it works... :p
