Which recordables to use?
I'm sort of a newbie in burning PS2/PSX backups. So can anyone tell me which DVD/CD media I can or can't use?
The model no. of my PAL PS2 is SCPH-30004-R. I believe it has something to do with the version of the PS2, wether you can use DVD RWs (CD-RW) or not. Please help! |
Most of us here use Ritek or Taiyo Yuden dvd-r. Both brands are excellent and very affordable.

verbatim dvds are pritty sweet to.

I agree with both of the above (providing the Verbatim are DataLife Plus DVD-R) :)

TUFF discs seem to be popular at the moment with customers at me shop, buying in hundreds.
Very cheap too /me shrugs |

i got some RiData 8x Ritek G05 dye (Blue top) DVD-R's, 50 for £9.50. they work great. only game that seems weird is Second Sight, the loading times are REALLY long. I dont know, it might be the way i burned it, i think i used Nero. Meh, I'm putting everything on my HDD when i find a network adapter for under £20.

I was thinking just to burn the image on a DVD rewritable first instead of a recordable. This way I can test if the PS2 rip isn't corrupted and can I prevent to waste too many DVD-R's. But I've heard only the latest PS2 models can read DVD-RW. It probebely doesn't matter much which brand you use:eek:

And I meant burning isos that I didn't made myself on a rewritable DVD. Another question: what does fullDVD and DVDrip mean? Some PS2 isos are named that way. |
That is ILLEGAL and we will NOT help you here.
