Pariah 1.02 no-DVD
 

The Pariah 1.02 no-DVD patch does not work correctly ! After a while the Game crashes in each Level to the Desktop,with following message : General protection fault ! I use Win XP SP1, any ideas ?

I would strongly suggest updating to Service Pack 2 when you get the chance.

It could possibly fix that problem also, you never know.

Does the game crash without the no-DVD patch? (Haven't had time to update the game yet and try the no-DVD patch myself...)

It crashes too with sp2 , i think the patch isn't correct done

I'm waiting for another Patch release.

Yeah the SP2 suggestion is mandatory, nobody should be on the net with SP1, no matter how well protected you think you are :P

Someone knows where i can find a working patch 1.02 ?
Or game settings so the game do not crach?

who the hell do you think you are!!
all the pros and semi-pros on the net simply forget about sp2 coz they cant see any use of it
(all its new major "functions" can be done in a more pro and effective way if you want to then)
and it has some firm drawbacks!

Settle down! I dont have to defend 'Dabhand's' comment (I believe he is well capable of defending himself :D ) but I do believe his comment was directed to the general PC user!
Yes the so called 'pros and semi-pros' know how to configure their systems so as to not need SP2 therefore they would generally ignore Dabhands comments! But for the general user it is more than likely good advice! ;)

Don't be quick to judge! Think before you post something. If you do that then everyone is happy!

Now I have Service Pack 2 on my PC,but the Game crashes as before ! In the Level "Reservoir" the Game closed and it is impossible to play ! So I think the No-DVD Patch does not work !

Just to let you know the Hoodlum 1.02 crack is BAD!

I installed patch 1.02 and played with the crack, it crashed on level 3 at the same place each time. Tried with the original disc and it works! Tried on level 4 with the crack files and it crashes each time again at the same place, but not with the original disc.

So I think it's safe to assume a 'bad crack'!
