Im scared of wasting my money. A crack is out for it but I heard bad things about Starforce III :eek: :eek: :eek:

I won't get viruses and junk will I? A working crack prevents it right?

Buy it then use reloaded`s crack!! pity the game is a steaming pile of sh1te.

Why should you? It's a comercial (is it the way to write that word? :confused: )
copy-protection so there won't be any viruses or stuff like that except you got the game from a warez-site. That's not what you wanna do so NO. :D

StarForce is ****. But for the people who make/sell games it's almost perfect coz in most cases unbreakable (not copyable). :mad:
I've got the StarForce driver on my PC 2 weeks ago... (i cannot say no to a game which i've bought even if it is StarForce) But now my PC needs almost 4 (!!!) minutes to boot after installing that driver and it is that slow...i guess this is made by the StarForce drivers....obviously :mad:

Do I have to install the starforce drivers if I use a crack first time?

To be quite honest with you, I'd tell the game manufacturers to take a running jump!
Starforce is a nightmare if you use anything other than a CLEAN XP install, & will trash virtual CD drives etc. Secondly in my case, even installing it on a clean system caused BSODs etc, which resulted in a format.
If you really must have this game, as long as you do not start the uncracked exe before installing the patch, then it should stay off your system. (No guarantees though!)

Hmmm....After install they aren't, to play the game you have to install the drivers ;)

You can install the game without installing StarForce. The first time you start a StarForce game with the original executable it installs StarForce and makes you reboot. Now the StarForce virus is in your system.

On the other hand, if you install the game and then replace the exe with the crack, then you can play without installing StarForce.

In other words, never run the original exe of a StarForce game if you want to protect your system.


EDIT: But if you want to make a point and support the boycott of SF, don't buy any games with this protection and make sure you tell the developers and publishers why you didn't buy it.

I've told a half-dozen game companies that I didn't buy their game because of SF. Even some I had no intention of buying anyway, hehe. :)

Everyone who posted on this subject, thanks. I'm buying this in half an hour as it costs me about 6.99 for a repackaged copy at my local store. I guess somebody else found a fun surprise for 50 bucks :). Hope that package is still here though fromt his morning.

This should be on the advertising label from what I heard about starforce:

"Children and adults alike will have hours of fun as thier system crashes on them and they get the joy of trying to figure out WTF went wrong and then get to enjoy the return your sh_t experiance. Remember its all part of the fun! Buy it now, not only do you get the high speed fps action but a free "virus hacker attack" expansion pack!"

Is there a Crack or nocd fix for this game

Reloaded made a crack and if you look for bittorrent sites you can find it. it will be up on GCW shortly tommorow or maybe even today.

I bought this and played. No starforce. Oh, and if you do get starforce on your comp, you can remove it with panda platinum 2005 (a very good antivirus worth every cent updated every few hours).

I got a bug with the game image freezing but the games goes on and you can move and shoot but you don't see what is happening because one frame froze and goes on top. Not sure if crack or game bug.......

I dont know what problems youre talking about, ive got starforce drivers on my computer for more than a month now, never had any problems.
