Hey guys,

This is the official i hate sony page!!! :mad:

There v4's have crappy lasers that last a few years and die!

There v9/10 La's burn out and blow the lasers

The v12 is a retarded slim piece of crap! that i had and worked for 4 days

The only good models are 5/6/7/8


The reason why i say this is because when ever i get a new console something goes wrong with it grrr!

Sony will be hearing from me!

Anyone else like to put a comment to this???

I dont like the v12's either. I got 2 v10's and a v7. Hopefully they will last until PS3 :) .

I had 4 or 5 (lost count) that had problems in a short period of time- hard to believe but true. When it comes to the Ps2 Sony makes crap.Thank God for the Hd loader i think that has extended the life of alot of ps2's.

i heard that sony pateneted sending signals to your brain (think i read it on ps2 scene). if sony ever makes a consol like that i will never buy it just because its made by sony

I've had no probs with either of my ps2's

1st one bought when GT3 came out(not sure of model)
2nd one is a slimline one, which I have had no probs with, even tho it gets thrown into a bag every month and dragged off to a lan party with me!!

but if either dies, I'll be sure to update!!

ive had my v7 messiah 2 powered for around 3 to 3 1/2 years and the honeys still goin strong :p
feed it -r every night had a fekin good hammering, case mod and the baby loves me for it ;)

Well my V1 deck that I got on first day issue was still going strong as of last year. I sold it (after I painted it with superman logo on it). Probably still runnin strong. But I also had a v9 with a few hours of playing time on it (less than a month) it started smoking and killed the laser one day. Ouch, talk about crash and burn. :D My v9 holding up strong now. After romeo and replacin the laser it seems ok.

I have a v9 ps2 modded with a DMS 3 chip for about fifteen month and I have not had a single problem playing backups with only ritek ridata g04 discs.

When I purchased my V10 Last year of may, I put nothing but Backup DVD-R movies for a whole week this way I have the opportunity to Test the Endurance of the laser everyone kept talking about how it burns up and if it Did I would exchange it for a another since the Warranty would be still Honored(Best Buy has 14 day Exchange Policy for Systems).
After a Week it survived so I got it Chipped with Maxtrix Infinity and Till This day Works Like a Champ..
Over the Years I had V4,V5,V7,V9 and then Finally V10(Permanent Keep)..
Also Keep in mind to use Good Brand Blanks for Backing up Discs,Burn with Reasonable Speed and ALWAYS keep the Disc Dust Free that's what I do..All my friends with them they just lay the games all over the place and it would have Finger prints and dust etc..I.E Killing the laser and stressing it from Dust and Finger Prints..You Reap what you sow!
It's like almost Anything,with Little bit of luck and if you take the time to take care of it, it would last almost eternity.. :)
