Help with modchip

I have a question about soldering a modchip into my ps2. Does putting solder on the correct connector and then having the solder touching another connector on the board hurt it like screwing up the mod chip or the board???

And can anyone tell me what type and width of solder is should use???

My my...

There are several guides that tell you what you need... but that is an extremely delicate soldering job, even with all the required stuff and it's really only for experts...
It would be a shame if you ruined your system (and yes, what you describe is not right and can damage system and chip).

@lighty59, Installing a PS2 chip isnt easy if you never soldered electronics before. The diagram's you see show points that are really big compaired to the actual PS2 MB. Some points are no bigger than a grain of sand and must be connected without having any excess solder.

If i were you i would contact Spedmetal about doing the install. He does great work and isnt overpriced.

You need a fine point solder.

Evertime try to soldering on the board, dont take more than 3 seconds.
Make sure you soldering right, double check is there anywhere missed soldering, i.e. soldering other pin together.

JUST BECAREFUL!!! Follow the INSTALL INSTRUCTION GUIDE

Warlock what do you expect from a cloner. Look at the documentation on his site then read my documentations. He copied my site pretty much to a 'T'.

Your a mod Warlock .... track the IP .... maybe he is in HK.
