Hello. Im new here. Original CD problem in LotR battle for the middle earth.

i bought this game last week (6 days ago ).

I installed the game succesfully, but when i launch the game it says CD is no in the drive.

Iam like: "Wtf, it is there u moron".

Why doesn't my computer not detect the CD? :(

NO DVD cracks don't really convince me as I can't play online with them. I already tried.

If anyone know why my computer doesn't detect the CD please contact me .

judas.fernando********com <--- i also got GMAIL invitations, i got 17 left.

jackerhunter**********com <--- msn... .

Thanks very much.-

Bad drive perhaps?

Or perhaps a copy?

HumanElve 20-05-2005 07:13

hi.

not bad drives. I even changed my drive for my brothers drive... Can't be.

Copy? what do you mean? Mine is an original Cd... u mean make a copy of it and try it?

I think DAB means: Perhaps your original DVD is bad and you need a replacement.

Yeah sorry meant to say THE copy and not A copy :P

Hi HumanElve,

If you have multiple CD/DVD drivers in your PC - including emulated ones! - then make sure that the game CD/DVD is inserted into a drive that has either 1) the lowest drive letter or 2) the same drive letter as the drive you've installed the game from.

Your problems should be gone, if you reinstall the game. If it still doesn't work, take the CD/DVD back to the shop and ask for their help, it's their duty. Good luck,

Joe

Well, if you an nForce 2 brand chipset, that is to blame, games with a similar version of safedisc / securom that CoD has WILL reject your original disc because there is a supposed confilct with the nForce 2 drivers and the and the anti-copy protection on the disc...

But this is ONLY if you have a mobo that has the nForce 2 chipset...

So you have to apply a No-CD crack to the game in question...

Both me and a mate bought this game and mines fine on my Pioneer dvd driver, but he had to replace his dvd drive to get his one to work. His old dvd drive is a ASUS model that shares same maufactured model as my pioneer A105, but His firmware was 1.3, where as Pioneer has 1.33 fix firmware, which although untested, i read may work for the asus drive (use at own risk!)

This is a fairly widespread problem with the game....according to EA's own Forums....i suggest you look there for help
