Starforce/**** Nigtmare!!
 

Hi,
was tired of using the DVD when playing Mcrae 2005,and used Starforce NM,and
Star****.Now my second harddisk on primary master is gone!!,I have tried everything with the 2 programs,and even reset the BIOS,but no luck :mad: .please help I want my HD back :confused:

can you verify that your hdd is recognized by windows? goto device manager and look under "disk drives" tree, you should see your hdd there.

I was trying starf**k and it corrupted the partitions on my main hdd, I had to use a data recovery program to restore my data. :(

no the disc is not under device manager,or maybe I should say,there has been a couple of times it has been,but there is no way to acces the disc.its not visible in bios either.is there anyway to get the disc working again? :confused:

Have you tried re-enabling your secondary HD's channel with Starforce nightmare?

Also enable ATA and node.

it didnt work.when I press enable(maybe 4 times in a row)does starforce nightmare togle on,off,on,off?.do the partitions show up when i press enable,or do i have to restart

When you press enable, let it work (the title of the program changes from Starforce Nightmare > Processing > Starforce Nightmare)

And yeah restarting could help.


If all else fails, try going into your BIOS (press Del or whatever key it asks on bootup) and check if it is seeing the drive there.

not in the bios.I tried to push the power button on/off quickly.and for 1min,it seem to work(the partitions showed up in windows).but then the disc started making a terrible noise.and I had to restart,and the partitions where gone again

no good :mad: ,I succeded in doing a format,and full scandisk.even fix mbr etc. with a hitachi program.but it seldom see the drive devicemanager/bios.guess I just have to trash the disk.
