ps2 worm gear noise
 

hey,

i installed a new laser in my v4 ps2 today and everything went well except my worm gear is making lots of noise grinding noise against the arm guide and the laser doesnt move out and in like it should do. Have i done something wrong?

Make sure the laser slides freely upon the guide rods especially the one that goes through the bras bushings. You should remove the laser and the rod to verify that its sliding freely. There should be nearly zero friction. Use some good Teflon grease to aid in this.

Yeah, grease should solve it. :)

I think mine is havng the same problem
