Question Reguarding Arrest Warrants.

I've got a buddy who got into some legal trouble awhile back. And it is a friend (Not speaking in theird person here). Anyway basically he missed a court date and I'm pretty sure he has a warrant out for his arrest now. Anyway he moved to another state basically because he had to, and that is why he missed the court date.

So I was wondering if there are any public records that can be accessed (for free) that would confirm the status of that sort of thing. I'm pretty sure he's screwed but just for the sake of knowing without a doubt.

Any site that might help? Thanks

I wouldnt say that, If he ever gets a traffic ticket or any other violation to where they run his name the warrant will come up if one has been issued.

My brother couldn't buy a car or get a new license in his current state until he payed a fine (he also moved to another state). He had to come back to pay it :(

Yea.. I've heard of them extraditing them back to the state where they had the warrant.. This guy isn't one for keeping his nose clean.. Nothing serious.. He's mainly just stupid when it comes to small things like street racing and what not.. But I figure he'll end up getting pulled over for that soon anyway.. And then I guess he's screwed..

His situation is a big long mess of a story.. The more I think about it the more I realize he's screwed.. So he shouldn't even bother with getting his things back from the police here.

I dont know how things work in the US but he can ring the police station, give his details and they will tell him straight out if he is wanted. But then they relize he now knows he is wanted which of course may make matters worse! But at least he would know for sure.

Well, talked to my rocket scientist friend the other day.. Apparently he's already been pulled over for speeding. I guess he must've asked, but apparently for minor traffic violations they don't do a national warrant check.. They checked for warrants in the county and sometimes the entire state if they feel like it.. It must differ from state to state.. Or the degree of the crime? Who knows.. So his dumb ass is safe for awhile.
