Updated MVP Baseball
 

I updated my install of MVP Baseball '05 with the latest patches from EA, and then used both of the mini images out there (obviously not at the same time)

The issue I'm running into is that the whole game seems like its running 100x faster...did I do something wrong, do I just need to go back and reinstall and just go w/o the EA patch?

You need to drop your refresh rate back to 60. This happens to everyone running the new patch but the good news is that this patch corrects the choppy play!!! Just drop your refresh and the game runs smooth as silk.

Wait, what? Are you saying you installed the latest patches for MVP to make it version 1.2 and you were still able to play use the fixed exe from version v1.0???? :confused:

thanks i'll try that refresh rate fix...although that kinda sucks to have to deal with

but no, i applied the patch, didnt crack the exe and used the new mini image and it works like a charm

really? these are the mini images off the site here on gamecopyworld?

So then is the patch really applied to the game or is it just running off version v1.0 on the image??? (like maybe v1.2 applied to your hardddrive files but the games actually running off the cd mini image files) :confused: Wouldn't it be version 1.0 because don't patches usually change the exe file?

Anyone know?

Here is what I did

I installed the game
I installed the game patch
I installed the roster patch
I mounted the mini image
I never modified the .exe

Game works great

game speed setting issue turned out to be the vsync setting

hmmm, intriguing....i'm going to have to try it myself...thanks for the info.
