What is a Duo v4??
 

1) Ok, I read up on these forums every now and again and I have never ever heard of a Duo 4 chip. Is it a scam? If I head over to the duo website there is no sign of this elusive Duo 4!!

That price is pretty tempting at $30 with a laser fix. Too good to be true?

2) Okay this is a two part question. I've been thinking about getting a Crystal Chip as I like the idea the many little extra's it provides! I have a slimline ps2 v12 and would like to know the status of the laser fix! Is it still needed? Does anyone have a clear answer on this or is it still iffy?

I've been running my new slim ps2 since christmas with GTA SA which loads data like crazy on the fly. I assume my laser has been stress tested a fair amount.. I have had no problems so if it was a bad batch of lasers on Sony's part I would say I got a good one (I think).

3) lol.. 3 part question.. Any recomendations on where to buy a CC chip for a fair price in Ontario, Canada area.. or Canada Wide?

Well, judging by the way it isn't on Team Omega's Duo site, we could say this is a chip operating off tweaked ice code and selling under the Duo name?

so it's a knockoff? hmm better not take my chances then...

no word if the laser fixes are still needed for v12?
