Making a Backup (ISO Problems)

Hi,

I got Original Game Hollywood Monsters. I want to store it for Safe and wanted to take backup, but when I tried to make ISO or Clone CD Image file it gets hang at 6% I dont know why ?

It seems there is some kind of copy protection in there, because the CD is Brand New and Scratchless.

Any Help from you Guys ?

Man. scan the app dir with Pid and aray. Then you might find a protection. Otherwise Try Alc 120 with all settings on or Virtual Cd with Automatic-Profile. If its old the protection wont be to hard I guess

What doesnt work? Is there maybe a rotaiting disc at startup or what is the error message? Or is there maybe a window like this (for each game diffrent other)? http://xs25.xs.to/pics/05166/Namenlos1.jpg
So tell whats the error message and when does what not work.

If PID (you should also try 'Aray Scanner) doesnt detect any protection then its quite possible the game is protected with Securom Protection. If the game is installed use 'Aray scanner' and do a directory scan of the game directory.
If it has no protection or if it does in fact have Securom then use CloneCD like 'Luci' said.
Start CloneCD, choose 'Read to Image file', on the next screen choose your cd reader and click 'Next', then on the next screen choose 'Protected PC Game' then click 'Next'. Click 'Browse' to choose where you want to save the image, and name the image, then 'save' then choose 'OK', Now you are reading the CD and saving the image.
When the image finishes you will need to write it to a Blank CD.
Choose 'Write From ImageFile' now you should be able to work out what to dow from here! Just choose the writer and again choose 'Protected PC Game' as the Profile!
Hope this helps you accomplish what you are trying to do!
I find this is the best method to backup a Securom protected game! You will still need to use a NoCD exe to play! ;)
