a little help please

ok i just brought a network adaptor for my ps2,
got throught the registration fine, then tryed to play online with an original not a backup.
but keep getting a 401 error,so i rang sony and they said my ps2 needs fixing, silly me didnt think the chip might be the problem, but i guess thats the problem.
ok i brought the sony chipped in australia about 6-9 months ago so im not sure what chip it has got i think it was something like a daul majic or blue something, not much help sorry
what do i need to do, use a ps2 thats not chipped or is there another way.
if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great
cheers.

Sadly, you can't do much other than rip out the Magic chip. Then, either get a chip such as an Infinity which is 'invisible' to the DNAS servers, or a chip which you can disable for online play, e.g: Duo 2 SE :)
